In a 1951 publication by the Dominion Experimental Farms Service it is suggested to box up a White Fly infested plant overnight with mothballs. Its supposed to kill the flies, and with repetition every ten days will eventually kill the eggs and nymphs as they mature.
Does anyone have any experience with this treatment?

No experience, and I wouldn't be able to test it now, as mothballs were withdrawn from sale here years ago because of their toxicity (carcinogen). Which suggests it isn't a good idea!
