Hello, At the NW Flower and Garden Show in Seattle earlier in the month, there were many vendors in attendance. I purchased a small Shindeshojo from a nursery in Oregon, perhaps they could send you one. River Rock Nursery 19350 SE Hwy 224 Damascus, OR 97089 503-658-4047 I now have two, this small one, and about a 4'-5' one. Can't wait for them to leaf out! Good Luck! Paula
Davidsans Japanese Maples Eastwoods Nursery Essence of the Tree Forest Farm Greer Gardens Mendocino Maples Nishiki Nursery Topiary Gardens Whitman Farms Normally I'd also recommend Eastfork Nursery, but it doesn't look like they carry it. And FYI, there is also a "Maple Resources on the Web" at the top of the forum that will come in handy for future inquiries.
Mine came from the company that preceeded Essence of the Tree, and is gorgeous, must be about 12 years old now. I see Eastwoods has a tree called "Shindeshoyo" on their larger specimens list. Call them as this may be the same. I'm surprised, I didn't think this was so difficult to find.
