Greetings! I believe some sort of wilt, mildew, disease, has infected my newly planted Katsura Red Fox. Help! Any suggestions for treatment? Would Daconil be viable?

Check soil moisture. Or maybe something happened when the leaves were new, like high or low temperatures. Looks like new ones have since started to come out.

I planted a small one once but could not keep the slugs off.

thanks for your reply. the tree is new this year and feel i have watered consistently due to our abnormally dry summer. "disease" attacks one branch at a time, dead looking branches are still pliable with green cambium when scratched. it's sister tree is still at nursery and looking perfect. we have been hot and humid, drier but think my watering has be adequate. tree planted against black house, but only in direct sun 1/3 of day..... do you think i should spray with daconil??? thanks again!! marzette

Spray pesticide only when specific condition positively identified.
