Say, can anyone recommend a good book about succulents? A nice, fat, meaty book - lots of text, lots of pictures. A kind of A to Z of succulents?

What kind of information are you looking for? Different succulents A-Z? or a how-to for succulents?

Well, a REALLY good book will do both. However more of the former and less of the latter I would say, if pressed...

Amazon.com has a great books about Succulents and Cacti. There is also the 'Encyclopedia of Cacti and Succulents' on a CD-Rom. I like the Succulents Illustrated dictionaries, myself... Easy to read, and nice pictures.

Is that a particular book, series, or a general recommendation about a subject?

There are two Succulent Illustrated Dictionaries now. I only have the first one, and I like it. The CD-Rom Encyclopedia would be faster to find things if you aren't sure what you're looking for. Both have lots of pictures, and the dictionaries are easy to follow/read. I don't have any cacti so I stuck with the Succulent Dictionary.
