What type of palm tree do I have?

    Hello,

    I have a palm tree in my front yard. I have been unable to get an accurate identification from the landscapers I have consulted. I would be very grateful to know what it is called so I can make a decision about how to proceed with removing it.

    Phoenix canariensis.

    Why remove it? Most would consider that a very fine specimen; it could add several thousand $$ to the market value of the property it is on.
