We have this small rather stunted apple tree in the back yard that is producing a small and sweet apple, and we would like to know what kind it is. This year there aren't very many apples, but hoping with identification, we'll know what to do better next year!

Perhaps you could take an apple to the Russel farm stand north of Duncan and do a comparison?

For apple identifications, it is generally necessary to take 4-5 apples to an event where volunteers from the BC Fruit Testers Association are present. They are excellent at finding a name.
