What to grow in an area where raspberries with rust was present.

All the my raspberry plants had a yellow rust. I have just removed all the stems and roots and am going to start a new raspberry bed in another area with new plants. What kind of vegetables should I grow in the former bed?

 

Just about any vegetable should be OK in the former raspberry bed. I would avoid fruits that are members of the rose family, such as strawberries.
