    Hello there,
I was given this plant and I have been google-ing the heck out of the description of it but can't seem to find it anyway. I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of plant it is. In case you can't tell in the picture it's leaves are green down the center then at the edges turns red, a few of the leaves are green down the center then white and then red at the edges. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
    Thanks a ton!

It seems to be one of the several 'corn plants'.

You hav a cordyline terminalis, a member of the draceana family, very easy care and it will develop into a nice woody plant some day.

Agree with Cordyline. Not Zea mays!
