Identification: What is this plant?

    Can someone please help me ID this plant. It was one of numerous plants that arrived in a sympathy basket. The plant is rather small (wine bottle for size reference). No blooms.

    My guess is that it is a Ficus of some kind. But to be honest I'm not very sure at all.

    Sorry, don't know, but it isn't Ficus.

    It appears similar to Ardisia. Also a guess.... Joe

    I really appreciate the help, even if it is only a guess. I know at this point this plant does not have any very defining characteristics and it seems to have stumped almost all the botanists at my university!

    Still, my knowledge of different plant species if very limited, so even a guess will help me to get researching in the right direction. Any more feedback would be greatly appreciated.
