I know the picture quality is poor but I'm hopeful its good enough for someone to be able to tell what these bugs are and how to eradicate them, My Meyers Lemon tree has lots of fruit on it so I have to be careful. Thanks in advance for all your help
Could be a beetle or a weevil. Either way, you need to investigate some insecticides or invest in a hungry bird.
I have found the culprits name - It is a little Leaf Notcher Weevil - Artipus Floridans - A Citrus tree loving little bugger - Anyone have a recommendation as to the best pesticide to use ? I want to kill the bug and not poison the fruit. Thanks
you'll need something topical rather than systemic. not sure if the topical don't also affect fruit - you'll have to do a good bit of reading the packages or websites to find out how treatment will affect fruit later. hopefully fruiting is a bit of a way away so that you can treat and it can dissipate before the fruit is formed/growing. where's millet???? i'll bet she/he (dunno if the person is a guy or gal) will know just what you need to do!
