    Hi Folks,

I've been told the tree in our backyard is a "liquid maple". Can somebody please tell me the formal name of the tree?

I can't find any description on the web under that name.

    Thanks!

I have never heard that name before, but my guess would be that they were refering to sweetgum - Liquidambar styraciflua.

It has maple-like leaves and has liquid in the name. Just a wild guess.
