well established grape vine... I think I killed it

    I purchased some property that had over grown 40 year old grape vines. It produced lots, but small grapes last year. This past March I was told to cut the vine way back, to get better larger grapes... I did and now nothing! no buds... nothing !
    I see others have buds but not mine. Please tell me I did not kill this vine .

    Ask us again in a few weeks. Only about 50% of my varieties have broken bud so far.

    Thanks Ralf, That makes me feel a little more at eaze. I was told it's hard to kill a grape vine, but it's my first time having one.
