Four days ago I sprayed my weeping cherry tree with Safers insecticidal soap to control aphids and small green caterpillars. I very carefully followed the instructions for mixing (1 part soap to 50 parts water) and applying. Two days later I noticed the leaves were curling and I thoroughly sprayed it with water. Today almost all of the leaves are crispy brown and laying on the ground. There are very few that remain on the tree and are green. This was a well established 10 year old tree and other than the pests was very healthy. Have I killed it or is there anything I can do to revive it?

New leaves will probably appear later.

My tree has bounced back with lots of new growth and looks healthier than ever - not that I would recommend this treatment:-)
