I have purchased a paulownia, planted it out about a month ago, seems to be healthy etc, just thought it would of good really big by now, fertilzed it once one week ago too. see pics for size/location and u can see weeds, (poppie) is nealry as big, is it in a bad spot, semi sun -gets sun mid afternoon to late even as South facing garden. am i worrying or does it take time to get established... any advice cheers ian
If you are in UK it would do better in hot sunny spot. Your specimen also appears to be not yet old and large enough to have a full head of steam up. In fact, it may die back each winter for a few years before getting to the stage where it is making the kind of progress you are hoping to see right from the start. These often do this in my similarly cool climate.
