anyone have success growing watermelon in southern ontario? what nutrients or fertilizer help it flourish?
I grew watermellon, and muskmellon last year (2007) Zone 5B Brampton, and they were excellent. I don't have any pictures due to being away during the harvest in August. They grow well, but need lots of sun. I put them in their own bed in a well prepared area, due to the watermellon vines spreading extensively.
