I recently moved into a house that has wandering jew growing everywhere. I would like to know if here is something that will kill this plant? I have dug it up and it has returned. Please help!

I have found the most effective way is to run 2 or 3 chickens on a suburban garden. Mine is about half an acre but only 1/4 was badly affected. I also run some geese up the paddocks but they definatley donot go for it. If you think you can do this make sure you also provide them with some proper chicken food morning and night + water and a safe place to sleep and lay eggs. Would not recommend a rooster. Too noisy apart from harassing the chooks.

If the above is not possible the other method I use is constantly scraping it of and piling it up under a cover. This stuff even grows in the dark but will eventualy give up and makes great compost. The other trick is to resist digging the soil otherwise it keeps spreading from what is left into the soft dug areas . Once I have scraped it off I put mulch down. In my case it is wood shavings as they are free. When it re grows it is much easier to weed out. BUT you need to keep at it. Out of the two methods the two legged beak brigade do a super job.
