I bought a viburnum opulous compactum last fall which was full of clear red berries. It has reasonable growth this year and looks healthy but only had one flower this year. Any ideas why that is? Does it need other viburnum opulous plants near by to produce berries or was it forced to over produce last year and is just having a rest this year?

Probably just having a rest this year after its bumper crop last year.

    PS spellcheck: opulus

Just in case anyone is interested, moved the above mentioned Viburnum opulous to a different position which has less sun and this year I have a massive display of berries.
