Very Very Stange June Bug

This is a flying beetle the size is 9 mm wide 15 mm long and it's 6 mm in height.I only was able to see is because of it's movement, it was trying to quickly crawl under some pine bark mulch. Do you know what it is? The fist picture is with out a flash the second is with a flash. The fist picture is what I see, I can not see the flash detail.

 

Apparently it didn't crawl fast enough.

Edit - check out the Bumble Flower Beetle - Euphoria inda It's a member of the Scarab beetles tribe.

Primarliy, it's a pollinator insect - don't swat the next one; they do about as much damage to your plants as Bumblebees. They lay eggs only in rotting material (ie mulch) and the larvae eat that same rotting material. Or, conversely, they'll be predators in your ant mounds.
