    Hello,

I am wanting to know a list of vegetables that can be planted from seed in mid July, in Zone 3 just north of Calgary.

I dug up a couple of potato plants and have a couple of 2'x2' areas in which I could plant some other goodies.

Also, a few of the potatoes I dug up seem to be a tad scabby... nothing serious yet, but definitly its there. Anything I can do to stop this process ? The Pontiacs are in flower, and I have been keeping them watered well, as I read that they need lots of water when in flower.

    Thanks very much!

Wow, I wouldn't be waiting until mid-July to plant out seeds in Calgary...

Maybe lettuces or fast-growing spinach, but you don't have enough time for root veg to set properly before it freezes. McFayden's out of Manitoba has frost-resistant varieties and fast germinators for zone 3.
