It was definitely worth watching. Two items brought up in the show in particular caught my attention. The first was the ability of a chopped up slime mould to reconstitute itself. It reminded me of the liquid metal terminator in the movie Terminator 2. I wonder if it was a slime that the provided the inspiration for the script writer(s). The second was the the slime mould's ability to create a network similar to that of Tokyo's rail system: Slim mould mimics Tokyo's railway.
