Taken at the National Tropical Botanical Garden (McBryde section) in Kauai last week.
One of the native Hawaiian species or one of its garden hybrids.
Do you know the scientific name? It's a beauty
I think it's Hibiscus waimeae, endemic to the island of Kauai.
I should add that I think it's subspecies hannerae... on the endangered list.
Thank you, Anna. Lived in Hawaii for a while - good to see those plants again.
