Identification: Unkown Tree

I aquired this plant/tree about a year ago. I don't know much about it and was wondering if it needs to be repotted. If someone would please tell me the name I can do the proper research to optimize its care..

Yucca guatemalensis, I'm pretty sure. Couldn't tell you whether it needs to be repotted or not: you can see the root ball, and I can't.

 

Thank you. Its been in the same pot for 6 years.. I'm new to keeping house plants.. Common sense would say to repot?

Your Zamioculcas is an excellent low light plant,
however your Yucca is suffering as in nature it
grows in full sun. See what you can do, maybe
let it spend it's summers outside on a shaded
deck?

 

Thank you, I have moved it outside.. should I still bring it in during heavy rain or winds?

 

Yes. At first it'll be easily damaged but later it'll toughen up.
