I have inherited this tree from my Dad. He has had it a long time. Can anyone let me know what kind of tree it is? It is just over two feet high. Thank you for your input.
That's a very nice specimen. Have a closer to look to be sure it's not infected with any scale or spider mites. There are three spots on the leaf to the right of the light colored one in the second photo (0982) that resemble scale. The leaf to the left of the light one is speckled and has a strand of webbing near its petiole. It could just be regular dust and silk from a spider but it may be from spider mites.

I wouldn't go to the trouble of treatment without evidence of an infestation. A good hosing down with water outside wouldn't hurt though. It would be a waste of time and money to treat your Ficus without evidence of an infestation. Like you taking antibiotics without symptoms of anything being wrong.
