Everywhere, and every cultivar that has bloomed or started to bloom so far - a week's difference in blooming time for neighbouring trees of the same cultivar.
[Lower Mall between University Blvd & Vanier Place] 'Somei Yoshino' trees are beginning to show a faint pink tint, though the buds are still tightly closed. 'Akebono' trees in the same area are just beginning to bloom.
So much for 'Somei-yoshino' generally blooming a few days earlier than 'Akebono'. But younger trees generally bloom earlier than older ones of the same cultivar, so that cancels out that relative blooming time difference here.
The 'Akebono' on UBC campus are blooming splendidly! 2700 East Mall Thunderbird Blvd and the Old Barn Community Centre Agronomy near the Forestry Building Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre University Blvd near bus Bay 10

Seeing your photos, I'm pretty sure these are 'Somei-yoshino', though I'm the one who posted them as 'Akebono', see https://forums.botanicalgarden.ubc.ca/threads/ubc.36223/page-2#post-191988. I've changed the links to your posting and photos. If you find a petaloid on some flower on those trees, I'll change it back.

'Somei-yoshino' [Place Vanier Student Residence, courtyard in front of Cariboo House] [Lower Mall north of University Blvd] [University Blvd & West Mall] [Behind Chan Centre] It’s interesting how the same three trees can look so different from another angle. I usually take photos from the second spot—they look like one umbrella-shaped tree. And I love this angle—the twisting branches give the trees so much character.
'Akebono' [Lower Mall & University Blvd] [Lower Mall & Memorial, near the entrance to Nitobe Garden] [Memorial & Main Mall] Here, a family with two young girls were vigorously shaking the lower branches, probably trying to create a special effect for photos. Then the girls started pulling on the branches quite hard, while the parents just laughed. When they yanked a branch, snapping off the tips with flowers and even squashing them, I couldn’t stand it anymore. I told them to stop and to be kind to the living trees. The girls just stared at me, and the father said to them, “I told you.” After I walked away, they moved to the next tree and started shaking the branches again. Unbelievable!! :(
[In front of Fraser Parkade, near Nitobe Garden] These 'Shirotae' trees are going to be gorgeous over the next week. Not technically cherry blossoms, but these were too cute not to include---and yes, I totally came home with that mug.
There is a young 'Akebono' at the corner of Walter Gage Rd and Wesbrook Mall. The trunk it has been grafted onto is different from other trees I've seen.
There are four trees on the edge of Wesbrook Community Park by the community centre. I saw them at twilight so the lighting was not good, but I think they are 'Akebono.'
There is a large weeping cherry that overhangs the sidewalk at the corner of Acadia Rd and University Blvd. It is too far away to get a good look at the blossoms. My guess is that it is it0-zakura.
The 'Akebono' at McMaster and Alison Rd is in full bloom. For some reason, birds really enjoy pulling the flowers off this tree. This is the tree at Alison and College Highroad. I have seen a few open blooms on the 'Shirotae' on University Blvd outside of Regent College. Doesn't it seem early for them?
I don't think early in relationship to 'Akebono', though I haven't looked that up in previous year postings.
Yes, I hate when they do that. I don't know - it's sort of like dying one's hair blue. It's not supposed to look natural.
The 'Shiro-fugen' on University Boulevard near Brown's Social House are in full bloom. So are the 'Ama-no-gawa' on Agronomy between Wesbrook Mall and Western Parkway. Meanwhile, the 'Shirotae' around Regent College are on their last legs.
The 'Kanzan' are glorious! Here they are on Acadia Road between Chancellor and University Boulevards. On Chancellor Boulevard And on Agronomy Road past Western Parkway
Shogetsu at Nitobe Botancial as you come into the garden on the south side, This tree just hanging over the path like a delicate roof. Very frilly petal edges. I love the namge 'Shogetsu' -Moonlinght on the Pine trees-
Shirofugen still going strong. I really like how this tree goes through all these different phases. Bronze leaf, deep pink buds opening to white flowers, then 2 weeks later you think it is a different tree with pink flowers and green leaves! There is one where I park at UBC parkade and I enjoy it every morning and in the eve when I leave. The one at Nitobe I did not get a good view of the elephant trunk commemorating the white elephant that the Buddhist monk Fugen rode.
