Type of Tree & Disease

    A Bitternut Hickory Tree (I think, need confirmation) seems to be dying. Please look at the fungis and spores on the leaves and give me your opinion. Also note that the top canopy is almost bare.

    This is the first time in the spring that this has happened. I live in MA.

    With only 5 leaflets per leaf, not Bitternut Hickory (which usually has 7-11 leaflets).

    Sorry, can't help with the disease.
