I have taken pictures of two of my favorite japanese maples this morning, not sure as to their identity. The cascading one is about 6-7 feet tall and the upright is probably close to 25 feet tall. Leaves are really starting to fall now, color is not great due to the very little rain fall these last two months. Swanny
The lacefleaf maple will be decades old. It is in an excellent setting, such aberrant forms - bonsai are another example - do not often blend well with more normal-looking ones. (The ideal might be a small, enclosed outdoor room with moss or Sagina).
