Hello I have a large tulip tree that is leaking water or some kind of fluid out of the bottom of the tree and would like to know if anybody might know if the tree is dying and maybe its time to cut it down Thanks
I have heard terms like "bacterial wet wood" thrown around. One of my white ash did similar. When it was cut down I inspected the trunk and sure enough found a crack and evidence of water damage. The suggestion to get your tree inspected by a professional is sound. Capitalism may ration what the company actually does to inspect your tree but those with money can actually have them more or less x-rayed I hear. Regardless, if it is in the open or near your home may determine how long it can be left.
