I just bought a small trifolium purpureum plant, and my searches brings up only descriptions of it as an annual legume which is highly productive as a forage crop. I was thinking of putting it in my garden!

I have very rich soil, and everything grows like mad in it. If I set this attractive looking plant into my garden this year, and enjoy the flowers, will I have a crop of it next year? Anyone have experience with how it behaves in a garden? Thanks so much.
