I am interested in the damage done by Tremex wasps to trees. What is the hole pattern and how does it compare to that created by Sapsuckers?

It seems to me (after looking at pics online) that the exit hole patterns on trees from tremex wasps tends to look more random and scattered than the "holes in a line" damage from sapsuckers

Daniel I would agree but I was told by a 9 month college graduate that the holes in line are wasps and holes in a grid are sapsuckers. This I have never heard of. Goes against everything I have seen with sapsuckers
