About 4 years ago I planted a wisteria vine next to my front porch. It grew crazy wild... I've had to prune it 3 or 4 times a year to maintain access through the front door. Last year was the first that it bloomed. In hindsight, I picked a very, very poor location for it. So, it had to go. I pruned back all the new growth, and moved it last week to a spot where it has lots of room. I watered it with some liquid transplanter. I bought some plant food, but then read that it might not be a good idea to feed it, so I haven't yet. Is there anything else I can do to improve the odds that it will survive? How do I promote good root growth? I just need to hurry up & wait don't I?
Thanks! It's got lots of support. I hammered a bunch of nails into the garage wall & wired the vines to them.
