Is it too late for planting our cedar edge (occidentalis smaragd) in Vancouver?

Thuja occidentalis is native to much colder climates than Vancouver, so theoretically you could plant these all winter. However, fall, right now is the best time to plant hardy stock of all kinds for multiple reasons.
