Tricyrtis hirta 'Matsukaze' These three pictures were taken late October of 2004. I purchased three bare-root plants from Spring Hill Nurseries in early 2004. I planted them on the west side of a large oak tree for shade, but later read that they prefer morning sun. Their rhisomes multiplied in the past year and I now have seven to eight large plants. The flowers bloom at the tops of the foliage and have very large violet spots. -Maureen
