I made my dad buy me an avocado so I can grow it, I love growing things from seeds I bought out of fruit at grocery stores, and I also have some pomegranates, tangerines, and an aloe plant. I'd like tips on making my aloe grow larger, it's about five inches tall and has maybe 6-8 'leaves' I've had it for almost two years now and when I got it it was about an inch and a half and had two 'leaves' about 6 month ago it had a 'baby'. At first it looked like a weed, grass or something, but I love all plants, even weeds so I decided to let it grow some more before I thought about getting rid of it. I waited until the baby got as big as the mother plant before I realized it was aloe as well and I repotted it into a 3 inch Jiffy pot. I think the aloe hasn't grown very much because the 'baby' took a lot of energy out of it, but I'm not sure, maybe that's the nature of the plant, but I'd like to stimulate both of my aloes. I never take any 'leaves' off for burns and the mother plant is in a 6 inch pot right now. My pomegrantes I really don't know what to do with I started them as seeds in said jiffy pots and they haven't germinated yet and I don't know any ways to ensure they do, but I'd really like to get them growing.. The avocado I've heard of two ways to get it going, in soil, or have it propped up halfways into a glass of water until roots and stem start growing, I don't know what would be best and what to do after the glass of water if that's what I decide. The tangerines are in the same state as the pomegrantes.
One more thing I thought you should know before posting is that I'm not hoping for any fruits from any of the trees I'm trying to grow, I simply want them to raise and nurture. What should I do if I want to grow apples? The same thing as the tangerines/pomegranates?
