how long does it take a barrell type cactus to bloom from seed. the main plant shriveled up and died never figured out why. but i had grafted a piece onto a different type of barrell cactus so still have a piece that is alive and its about 2 feet tall 1 1/2 of that is the grafted part its about 4 years old grafted to a cutting from a barrell that was an adult will that make a difference on the time it will take it to to bloom. i planted the seed from a fruit i had eaten at a rare fruit council meeting 4 years ago. not sure of the variety of either of the cactus. but both are types that grow taller rather than fatter.
