This one was sent to me in an email - I believe it was photographed near Campbell River, British Columbia. My guess was a Pholiota of some sort, but perhaps something else?
The photographer of the image, Brian K., has suggested Lepiota clypeolaria I agree with him that's a more likely possibility. Any confirmations?
Lepiota magnispora (syn. L. ventriosospora). Note that the "cotton" of the extreme cap margin (indistinctly discernible in the photo) and stipe surface is pale yellow, not pure white. Harri Harmaja http://www.fmnh.helsinki.fi/users/harmaja/about_myself.htm
