Identification: Thoughts on this one?

    This one was sent to me in an email - I believe it was photographed near Campbell River, British Columbia.

    My guess was a Pholiota of some sort, but perhaps something else?

    The photographer of the image, Brian K., has suggested Lepiota clypeolaria

    I agree with him that's a more likely possibility. Any confirmations?

    I agree.

    Other than the cap and its texture, that fuzzy stem feature makes it almost foolproof.
