I just located one of these by chance at a local nursery. Does anyone know about it?

    hello, katie!
'Taiyo nishiki' is a pink and white on green variegate.
my tree is 10 ft and about 10 yrs old in a pot and quite fastigate altho that may be the result of
its being surrounded by taller trees forcing it up rather than out.
last year the tree had really no variegation to speak off but this year it is ablaze with off-white,
pink and green - very nice.
by the way since you brought 'Mary Katherine' to my attention I can categorically tell you that
MK and 'Carlls (or Carlis) Corner are the same cultivars because I traced the history to the exact
same witches broom on the same tree in Bridgton, NJ and because I watched them leaf out this
year right next to each other and they are identical.

FANTASTIC detective work, Katsura. I love it! I did the same thing to find out about 'Van den Akker'. It's fun to have a mystery to solve. The information about 'MC' and 'Carlis...' is greatly appreciated.
