We recently purchased taiwania cryptomeroides but can find little cultivation information on it. We live in Virginia, USA which is zone 7b. Finding the right placement for this plant is going to be key to its growing well. Can anyone help me find this information. Thank you. Polly McConnell

Realistically, only zone 8-9 hardy. You'll need to give it a very sheltered location with good protection from cold dry winds; even so, I'll be surprised if it lasts long for you, the next bad winter will likely kill it.

Up to 70m tall in the wild, but it takes about 500 years to get to that size. In zone 7, if it reaches 10m tall, you'll be doing very well.
