I would like to know if this is sun scald or a sun burn. If it is a sun scald, can I still save the scald free pads of my opuntia or would it be better to dispose everything?

Those look like fungal scarring to me. A quick google search shows similar scarring: fusarium opuntia - Google Search: ... while sometimes the opuntia recovers, usually the fungus just keeps spreading until the plant dies. If they were my cacti I would make cuttings from the healthy pads and dispose of the rest as well as the soil.

Thanks for the help. If I remember correctly, it started growing those brown spots after the rainy season. Kinda sad that a lot of my microdasys will be thrown away but it's better to protect my remaining cacti.
