    hello I am more of an animal person but I like plants too I was going to do a bio active vivarium for my leopard gecko so I bought 11 succulents his substrate is eco earth (coconut fiber) can succulents grow and thrive in eco earth?

    I have not tried it for succulents, but having used coconut fiber on other things I think it will hold too much moisture. Usually you want a medium that drains quickly and does not retain much moisture for succulents. If I were to try to use coir (the normal name used for coconut fiber) for succulents I would mix it with something that drains better, like perlite or coarse sand.
