    Hi,

I'd like to take some cuttings from here in Los Angeles, elsewhere, say, to Vancouver. Can they survive up there? Do they need more light? More heat?

The succulents in question are either: green leafy-like w/red tinged edges, thicker star shaped clusters, small and green like springs - the kind you'd make with paper strips from the edge of computer printouts, back in the day.

    Thanks!

Your biggest problem is going to be getting them through customs inspection at the US-Canada border. They'll need phytosanitary certificates and all that sort of thing.

In terms of climate differences, if you expect to grow them outdoors in Vancouver, winter wetness, winter cold, and lack of summer heat, could all be significant problems. If they are for growing indoors, then no problem.
