styrax obassia root system

I wish to plant a styrax obassia tree (Fragrant Japanese Snowbell) where there is concern about the drainage system. Is s.obassia shallow or deep rooted and what is the lateral root spread and the root depth?

 

All non desert trees and shrubs root mostly at the surface. If you have a drain field usually you do not want to plant any trees or other large plants within it.
