Strange foxglove in my garden

    I haven't seen one of these before. I wonder what caused it to happen. Is it reproducible?

    It would be interesting to see if, as the link implies, this trait is passed down to succeeding generations, or whether just the tops of such plants could be propagated and grown on like a sport. With bi-ennials, I imagine this would probably not work so well. Interesting trait that I have never before observed in all the hundreds of Digitalis that have popped up around my yard.

    You can purchase seeds that are advertised as the peloric form of Digitalis, but not all seeds come true.
