I was given a carnivorous plant recently at a carnival at UBC. I didn't quite get the name of the plant, so i've been having a hard time taking care of it! I searched on the internet, and I found it sort of looks like a Drosera hilaris (african bog plant??) but I'm not sure! Does anyone know of such a bog plant?

It's most likely either one of the following:
drosera hamiltonii or d. aliciae or d. spathulata

Drosera hilari are rather rare in captivity. For general drosera (sundew) care, please visit the international carnivorous plant society's website:
    http://www.carnivorousplants.org/howto/

It's a great resource for "how to grow" all sorts of carnivorous plants. Good luck...and I do hope you develop a passion for more carnivorous plants!
