Hi to all!! I'm new on this forum, and so I'd like to introduce myself and some of my little trees. I'm in Italy, near Milan, and I grow JM the most of all as bonsai trees...more of these are pre-bonsai and have a long way ahead. Actually I have around 70 trees, around 50 are maples in every stage of growing (a big work for pruning and repotting, but this is bonsai!) Just start with an Acer Phoenix (I've took the pictures today and was cloudy.....) a Beni Maiko An Osakazuki A Deshojo JM An Arakawa JM A Shaina JM Unfortunaly my upload is not so fast, so I will post other pictures later... I hope you will enjoy them!
As you said last night G you would post some of your maples today. And what beauties they are. I know I @Shin-Deshojo will like your Bonsai. Great to have you on the forum, so welcome again G.
T S C a large Dissectum Viridis an Orange Dream JM an Acer Pictum Ambiguum a Shishigashira JM a Summer Gold JM a Katsura JM a group of Going Green JM a Burgeranium Maple
gli altri allegati sono Enkan JM, Stella Rossa JM, Dissectum Atropurpureum e Crimson Princess Dissectum JM poi Manyo-No-Sato JM e Koto No Ito JM
Hiya, I like the A. pictum var ambiguum very much. Something about the shape of the leaf is very attractive. Again, welcome!
Here some other maples from my little garden Dissectum Nigrum, Dissectum Viridis, Palmatum Aconitifolium, one of my 2 Shirasawanum Aureum, Pixie JM, FG1 and Shirasawanum Autumn Moon....
Very nice G. I love the greens of your Aureum. Interesting that you call the maple in the 6th photo FG1 and not Fireglow. Synonyms do stick!!
Beautiful collection of trees you have. Correction on palmatum 'Aconitifolium' (A. japonicum 'Aconitifolium')
Good afternoon Alex. That is interesting reading. Also the fact that FG4 is a synonym of Red Flash, as I have that in my collection.
io fact here is not unusual to find FG1 as the name of the FireGlow... un here some other picture, I really hope not boring ;) Orange Dream, Tsuma Gaki (I still have to understand how it "works"....), Autumn Red, Shirasawanum Jordan, Bi-Hoo, Orangeola, Atropurpureum, Higasayama, some little hybrids, Sherwood Flame, a big Shaina and (even if out of Maples family...) a 40 ys old Wisteria in a pot
They are lovely G. And absolutely 'NOT' boring. I've just enjoyed every photo. Whilst your here, have you heard of Acer palmatum 'Italy Red'? I've just added it to Maple cultivar by another name OR (Synonym).#27 #458 Post 572, I wonder if @alex66 or @LorenzoDec have heard of it ??
This all I could find about it G. All of the attributes of 'Bloodgood' in a smaller tree. Originally brought from Italy by Vertrees.
Thanks Alex. Another mystery solved. I have Red Flash in my collection, so now I know what else it is called.
Thank you Monica, you’re very kind. I try to do my best and for me, as for others here I can imagine, it’s my “second job” cause it took a lot of time. And now that I have a 2 years daughter, it’s more difficult, hoping she will help me in some years...;)
