I'm wondering if there is a lab on the UBC campus that would be able to test soil for me? I am at UBC almost every day and (fingers crossed) may finally get a community garden plot this year, so I'd like to get the soil from my plot tested before adding any amendments. Thanks!

None that I'm aware of. From a discussion with a grad student a couple weeks ago, my impression is that soil samples were sent off campus to be tested. I imagine the folks in the Soil Science program have ways of testing, but I don't think they do so if it isn't research-related.

Thanks for the response, Daniel. That's too bad, as it would be pretty cool to offer this to the community given our strong Land and Food Systems program, sustainability focus, and the great things happening at UBC Farm. Have a good day!
