Single white flowers, hairy stems, mid-season - Spanish Banks

    i've noticed these 2 trees for a few years now and still have not figured out who they are. spindly trees in the parking median at Spanish Banks East. single pink or maybe more white

    'Somei-yoshino'? Is this in bloom right now? That's pretty late for 'Somei-yoshino', but if they are not all that healthy, they could bloom late. The habit looks remarkably like the example in our book. The hairy stems should indicate some involvement with that cultivar.
