I am thinking of growing the Silver Lace Vine (Polygonum auberti) aka Silver Fleece Vine this year in Zone 5. Is anyone growing this vine. I would appreciate some information from some-one who is growing this vine at the present time. Is growing this vine worth the effort?

Here is some web information on the vine.

Good on a shed or tree, too rampant for vicinity of other plants.

We grew one by our shed and it looked really lovely when it bloomed... although it got too carried away, so we ended up getting rid of it.
