i have two 9-month-old lemon plants. they live in the same place (on my windowsill) and recive the same amount of water. one is very healthy and is starting to get brown markings like the beginning of bark on the stem but the other is long and leggy and nowhere near as sturdy. its leaves are much stringier and they are a slightly yellowy colour. it has always been slightly less healthy but now im wondering if it is diseased so i have separated it from the other plant (can diseases from one type of plant spread to another? if so, perhaps i should move it away from my cacti too...)
