Identification: Shrub with Pairs of Oblong Leaves that are Jagged Near the Tip but Smooth Near the Stem

    Hello Everyone,

    Do you know what this plant is? It has distinctly shaped leaves that grow in pairs on the stem, are oblong shaped, and jagged near the tip, but smooth near the stem. The older plants seem to be human-height or higher.

    Location : Pacific Ranges
    Elevation : 1100 to 1300 m
    Season : Late July
