Should I let my Maranta "hibernate"

My maranta (prayer plant) looks really bad right now. Most leaves shriveled up and a lot of the remaining ones are turning yellow or are dried at the tips.
Last winter I asked a coworker to water my office plants while I was out for over a week, but he forgot to do it, and my maranta died soon after I returned. Or so I thought. I didn't throw it out though, but I didn't water it at all and I kept it behind my other plants. I was surprised sometime in late February when leaves started to pop up. In March it actually bloomed for me! It was doing really well until a few weeks ago. I'm wondering if I should stop watering it again and let it go dormant? Will it come back like it did last time or is there a possibility it won't come back at all?
